MCE is hosting a non-mandatory informational Pre-Response Webinar for those interested in learning more about the following solicitations for MCE’s Virtual Power Plant:

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Integration Partner Request for Qualifications (RFQ #2026-05)

Developer Partner Request for Qualifications (RFQ #2026-06)
This webinar is an opportunity to learn more about the solicitation process and ask clarifying questions. A recording of the webinar will be posted on MCE’s Solicitations webpage.
About the OpportunityMCE is seeking qualified partners to expand its Virtual Power Plant across its 38 member communities spanning four counties around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Selected Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners will support MCE’s Virtual Power Plant by allowing their technologies to communicate with MCE's DERMS on an OpenADR signal, therefore unlocking additional value to our mutual customer base.
Selected Developer partners will support the MCE’s Virtual Power Plant by providing technical assistance, project development, and – if applicable – financing options for customer DER projects throughout MCE communities.

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) interested in integrating with MCE’s eDERMS through OpenADR to receive load-modification event signals to support grid benefits and cost savings for customers.

Developers that can install and support long-term operation of customer-sited distributed energy resources (DER) and load-modification technologies.
