MCE is hosting a non-mandatory informational Pre-Response Webinar for those interested in learning more about the following solicitations for MCE’s Virtual Power Plant:

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Integration Partner Request for Qualifications (RFQ #2026-04)

Developer Partner Request for Qualifications (RFQ #2026-05)

Measurement and Verification (M&V) Provider Request for Proposals (RFP #2026-03)
This webinar is an opportunity to learn more about the solicitation process and ask clarifying questions. A recording of the webinar will be posted on MCE’s Solicitations webpage.
About the OpportunityMCE is seeking qualified partners to expand its Virtual Power Plant across its 38 member communities spanning four counties around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Selected partners will support the deployment of a suite of devices that will integrate into MCE’s Virtual Power Plant using MCE’s Enterprise Distributed Energy Resource Management System (eDERMS). This initiative is part of a California Energy Commission (CEC) funded program that enables flexible load participation during dispatched load events.

Who Should AttendThis webinar is intended for organizations interested in responding to one or more of MCE's solicitations, including:

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) interested in integrating with MCE’s eDERMS through OpenADR to receive load-modification event signals to support grid benefits and cost savings for customers.

Developers that are able to install and support long-term operation of customer-sited distributed energy resources (DER) and load-modification technologies.

Measurement & Verification (M&V) Providers with experience in utility program evaluation, CEC-funded grant projects, demand response and DER performance measurement, pay-for-performance program administration, or wholesale market-aligned load flexibility verification.
